WHAT MAKES IT REAL?

LOCATION...

Camping Cornwall Penzance Noongallas Campsite

Noongallas Campsite is special. Why? because here you get to experience back to basics camping in Cornwall, with campfires and folk music and views of the sea. A real camping experience.

When we arrived up the single winding track, we were met by John, the campsite owner, who gave us a cold beer and settled down for a chat. He does this with most campers.

As we said, this is simple camping. There are no powered campsite pitches here. Just open terraced fields with tent camping and camper van camping. One field for adults only (with alcoves in the hedge row), the other is for families, so total peace can be found.

Campfires are allowed in this campsite, in fact they are encouraged!

There is a barn for impromptu open mike music sessions as well as organised folk music. If you stay here in June you can attend the 10 day Golowan Festival in Penzance.

The facilities are basic and one shower for each sex does mean inevitable queues.

If you have time and fancy a walk...take the track from the campsite to Penzance (only 2 miles) through the Trevaylor woods...a beautiful tranquil forest either side of a stream.
