NZ Camping Auckland - view from Omana Regional Park
This is a really lovely cliff top camp ground, only 40 minutes (42 km) from downtown Auckland, but it feels a million miles away.
The camp ground is on a headland looking over a shell beach, with distant views of Auckland.
The coastal drive from Omana Beach to Clevedon and then onto Miranda is really beautiful.

Camping with children? This is a good campground if you are camping with kids...there is plenty of space for them to run about, the beach has really safe swimming at high tide and at low tide they can explore the rock pools. There is a kid’s playground and a petting farm attached to the camp ground.
