New Zealand Camping - Queen Charlotte Sound
Queen Charlotte Drive
NZ Camping - Queen Charlotte Sound
Right on the waterfront of Queen Charlotte Sound....this Department of Conservation camp ground is a fantastic place to camp.
There are only 33 campsites on the beach, so it really is advisable to book well in advance to secure one of these. However, the inland campsites are also really nice and only a 2 minute stroll to the beach.
Queen Charlotte Sound Camping - Momorangi Bay
If you have a boat, Momorangi Bay is a good camp ground to come to as they have an area to wash and store boats, as well as boat ramp and a jetty.
However, if you want to bring your dog you should stay at Aussie Bay instead, another DOC campground, just a bit further down the road.
Waterfront campsite - $15 per adult, $7.50 per child (5-17 years old), under 5’s are free
Inland campsite - $13 per adult, $6.50 per child (5-17 years old), under 5’s are free
